What is the EMSA project?
EMSA is an acronym that stands for Enhanced Maritime Situational Awareness.
A project born from the National Oceans Protection Plan inaugurated in 2016 by the federal government of Canada, it is tied to one of the core objectives of this Plan, which is the strengthening of partnerships and the launch of co-management practices with Indigenous communities.
What is the goal of this project?
Develop a web-based geographic information system built on the eVouala technology dedicated to indigenous and coastal communities, allowing them to access and contribute to maritime information.
In collaboration with Fujitsu Canada, our partner for this project, we are developing a solution that is tailored to the needs of theses communities for an easier grasp on everything that is going on in the canadian maritime ecosystem.
