OpenLayers makes it easy to put a dynamic map in any web page. It can display map tiles and markers loaded from any source. OpenLayers has been developed to further the use of geographic information of all kinds. It is an open source (provided under a modified BSD license) JavaScript library for displaying map data in web browsers. It provides an API for building rich web-based geographic applications similar to Here, Google Maps and Bing Maps. It also supports GeoRSS, KML, GML, and GeoJSON and map data from any source using OGC-standards as Web Map Service (WMS), Web Feature Service (WFS) or Tile Map Service (TMS) such as MapServer.

At the heart of eVouala

OpenLayers is at the heart of the geospatial module of the eVouala platform. Developed by Mapgears, it is purposely designed to be used by managers and those individuals that may not possess the all the skills of a GIS (Geographic Information system) specialist.

Mastered by Mapgears

Mapgears' team has been offering consulting, training, support and development services and has also been contributing to OpenLayers since 2006. She made it the core of most of her web mapping applications and mastered how to tune it up and customize it to meet any requirements.
